Whilst on holiday in Cornwall with shingles I bought Owen Jones Chavs: The Demonization of the Working Class. Although the book is called Chavs: The Demonization of the Working-Class, it could easily have been called The Demonization of Working-Class Identity (not as catchy, admittedly). Yesterday the awesomely talented Owen Jones, author of Chavs: The Demonization of the Working Class came to speak at Kentish Town Labour Party.
