A slight departure in subject from my usual posting, Laduree Sucre (The Sweet Recipes) by Phillipe Andrieu is a recipe book, but a recipe book like no other. I went to Indigo last night because I wanted to take a look at Laduree's sweet recipe book. Even now, many trips to Paris later I still get mesmerised walking past the Madeline Ladurée. I first discovered these in Paris when I was on an exchange to France in 1996. And where else to get them than Laduree. Laudree: The Sweet Recipes * is the best cookbook I purchased last year. This recipe uses apricot as the fruit but I'm sure it would work with anything really.
